Description

This is a CONFEDERATE JEFFERSON DAVIS BEAUBOIR FLAG. It is NEW. It is SEWN. Beauvoir , where this flag proudly flew, was the post-war home and library of Confederate President Jefferson Davis at Biloxi, Mississippi. Originally built on 600+ acres in 1848 by a planter from Madison County, James Brown, it was never used as a plantation due to bad soil. It served as the family's coastal home with a "beautiful view" (thus beau voir) of the Gulf of Mexico. Davis rented one of the cottages there to work on his book, The Rise and Fall of the Confederate Government. He brought his son there to help with the writing and eventually his wife also moved in and grew to love living on the coast. Davis eventually bought the property and lived there until his death in 1889. It is COMPLETELY SEWN. This Flag is made from 100% COTTON. It has a Cotton Canvas Header and Brass Grommets. The Fly is Double Stitched. The Flag Size is 3 Feet by 5 Feet. This Flag is BRAND NEW and NEVER USED. It is Excellent Quality and is Correct in All Details. We DO NOT stencil, iron on or glue on flag components as some others do. Beware of cheap imitations. Our flags are COMPLETELY SEWN. This is a Great Flag for Reenactors or any Civil War History Buff. It makes a Great Gift.
